Welcome Race Fans!

For all you die-hard Mariners lovers out there, a little story. Our family went to a sports bar/grill for dinner on Wednesday night, and while we were there the Boston/Seattle game came on.

Some significance: Dice-K vs. Ichiro. Does Dice-K really have the gyroball? How will this matchup of Japanese players stack up?

Even better was the performance by Felix Hernandez who almost tossed a no-no. But I digress. Early in the 2nd or 3rd inning, a BoSox player popped a soft liner over the Mariner's second baseman's head. He charged out, and made a leaping grab for an out.

I thought to myself: "Wow, that Joey Cora's still got it!!"

And then I woke up from 1996 and realized that I probably didn't know 3 players on the Seattle team. Some guy named Lopez made the catch. Good for him, but I sure miss Joey Cora....

Wow... random Joey Cora reference. By the way, he's a base coach for the ChiSox if you are wondering.

Nice flashback.

I had a gyroball for dinner last night.
